Thank you for registering for Panhellenic Sorority Primary Recruitment at Purdue University! The Purdue Panhellenic Association is excited for you to learn more about the community throughout the summer and during Primary Recruitment.
Pre-Recruitment
At some point during the summer, you will receive an email from a current Purdue sorority member who will help answer all your questions about recruitment before the process officially begins. This person will be your recruitment counselor – more commonly referred to as your Gamma Chi!
In the mean time, please view this PNM Crash Course to read all about what to expect during primary recruitment and how it works. This will be an important resource for you, so please read it!
Prior to the start of Primary Recruitment you will participate in Potential New Member (PNM) Orientation and at least one Gamma Chi Meeting with other PNMs. Dates for both of those activities will be shared during the summer. Both will provide valuable information about Primary Recruitment and address last minute questions you may have about the process.
PNM Orientation: You will learn more about fraternity/sorority life at Purdue, and receive details on the primary recruitment process. You will receive communication later this summer informing you when the meeting will occur and whether it will take place in person or online.
Gamma Chi Meetings: Meetings with your Gamma Chi group will take place before the start of Primary Recruitment. In these meetings, your Gamma Chi will highlight the importance of values to each sorority and how you can use your values to find a sorority that is right for you.
Recruitment Dates
Primary Recruitment will take place over the first two weekends of the 2026 fall semester. The full schedule is available on the Purdue Panhellenic website. Bid Day will be Tuesday, September 8th in the evening! Across the two weekends of Primary Recruitment, there will be four different rounds where you will visit chapters. If you have concerns or conflicts, please contact Ayda Hayman, Vice President of Recruitment, at vpr@purduephc.com.
Do you know anyone else who is interested in sorority recruitment? Encourage your friends and roommates to register online by 12:00 PM (Noon) on August 27th! No late registrations will be accepted.
